Author Guidelines

 

Please prepare your manuscript following the instructions for authors given below before submitting it online at below. Basically, the template for Simfoni journal follows the author guidelines attached in here. 

 

PREPARATION

Use of word processing software

It is important that the file be saved in the native format of the word processor used (.doc or .docx). Please use template for preparing the manuscript. 

Article structure

  • Title: it must be concise and has cerrelations to the main ideas and findings.
  • Abstract: it must be concise, containing objective, methods, rsult, discussion, and impact.
  • Keywords: it must conatin maximum 6 keywords, realting to the main objective and result
  • Introduction: It is a mandatory to explain the objectives of the work, as well as an adequate background, a literature review, a summary of the results.
  • Literature Review:
  • Method: It is a mandatory to explain sufficient detail to allow the work to be reproduced.
  • Results: Results should be clear and concise. Explain tables and figures.
  • Discussion: This section must be supported by comparison with theory and previous studies. It is a mandatory to put references.
  • Conclusion: It must be about 5 sentences and must be correlated to the abstract and objective.
  • References: Author(s) must use APA system for in-text citation and references. We strongly suggest author(s) to take reference from article journal (not other) if it is possible. Examples: Nandiyanto, A. B. D., Oktiani, R., & Ragadhita, R. (2019). How to read and interpret FTIR spectroscope of organic material. Indonesian Journal of Science and Technology, 4(1), 97-118.

Nomenclature and units

Follow internationally accepted rules and conventions: use the international system of units (SI).  

Math formulae

Please submit math equations as editable text and not as images. Add number for math formulae 

Tables

Please submit tables as editable text and not as images. 

Figures

must be fix as "in linte with text". Add number and caption

 

 

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
    Manuscript submitted to the Journal should normally be between 4,000 to 6,000 words or between 10-15 pages with single space and should be accompanied by an abstract of not more than 150-200 words, containing the importance of the topic, objective, method, findings, and conclusion.

  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format. Use A4 paper size. Margin for top, right, and bottom side is 2,5 cm. Margin for left side is 3 cm. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.

  3. Please use references in the last 5 years. 80% of the references used must be scientific articles from reputable and indexed journals.
  4. Manuscript can be written in Indonesian or English. Abstract writes in English and Indonesian. Abstract length maximum 250 words
  5. Systematic of the article: Introduction, Literature Review, Research Methods, Result and Discussion, Conclusion, Recommendation, and Reference.
  6. Quotation and references follow APA style.

  8. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  9. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
